520			_aTrois grandes traditions marquent la courte histoire de l’économie de l’information. La première considère l’information comme un bien collectif aux propriétés originales. La deuxième analyse les mécanismes incitant à la révélation d’informations privées. Enfin, la troisième envisage les phénomènes sous-jacents de pouvoir et de dominance liés à la détention d’information et à la position des acteurs dans des réseaux complexes de communication. Les développements récents de l’économie de l’information mettent l’accent sur les dynamiques économiques et sociales impulsées par la production, la diffusion, l’accès et l’appropriation de l’information, ainsi que les mécanismes institutionnels mis en œuvre pour réguler ces dynamiques.

The first one regards information as a collective good with original properties. The second one analyzes the incentive mechanisms revealing private information. The third one considers the phenomena of power related to the detention of information and to the position of actors in complex communication networks. Recent developments of the economics of information are concerned at the same time with economic and social dynamics involved in production, diffusion, access, and appropriation of information, and with the institutional mechanisms controlling these dynamics.
