Dans ses analyses, Ellul porte une attention particulière à l’information et à la communication qu’il considère comme des constituants essentiels de la société technicienne. Il a contribué à l’Université de Bordeaux dans les années 1950, à faire de ces phénomènes des objets d’études et d’enseignement. Indeed, he focuses on both information and communication, which he believes are the two essential components of our technological society. In the 50s, he turned these themes into teaching and research subjects at the University of Bordeaux, which he belonged to. His books dealing with propaganda and technological bluff prove how much relevant and fertile his approach is nowadays.
