Drawing upon the examples of Jover Zamora (1920-2006) and Tuñon de Lara (1915-1997), this article seeks to show how the development of the discipline of contemporary history constituted an essential, pre-political cultural and scientific step towards laying the foundations of a culture for Spanish democracy. | ||
