520			_aDe la Renaissance à nos jours, le compositeur est voyageur. Mais le Monde aujourd’hui englobe toute la planète Terre et le terme dérivé de mondialisation signale l’incroyable interdépendance et l’uniformisation des cultures. L’hypothèse de cet article est que le compositeur contemporain possède une perception de cette mondialisation, et que son ambition est de construire une mondialité, dans le sens défini par Édouard Glissant, qui serait une façon heureuse de vivre le Monde. C’est le cas d’Alain Berlaud, Jean-Claude Eloy, Ahmed Essyad, Thierry Pécou, Xu Yi, dont les esthétiques intégratives sont ici présentées. Mais paradoxalement, plus le compositeur est voyageur, plus il incarne cette mondialisation malheureuse qui consiste à déplacer, diffuser, universaliser – volontairement ou non – un modèle, des techniques, propres à l’Occident.
520			_aFrom the Renaissance to the present, the composer has been a traveler. However, the world in which he or she travels is now the entire planet. The term “globalization,” which is derived from this, signals the incredible degree to which cultures have become interdependent and rendered uniform. The hypothesis of this article is that contemporary composers are aware of this globalization and that they seek to construct a “globalism,” in Édouard Glissant’s sense of the term : a felicitous way of experiencing and living in the World. This is the case for the composers Alain Berlaud, Jean-Claude Eloy, Ahmed Essyad, Thierry Pécou, and Xu Yi, whose integrative aesthetics are explored in this article. Paradoxically, the more that a composer travels, the more he or she comes to embody the unfortunate aspects of globalization, which consists in shifting, spreading, and universalizing (willingly or not) the model and techniques of Western civilization.
