Elle deviendra un mythe et doit son succès à l’usage des médias, à l’évitement des combats et à son coût en vies humaines. La Longue Marche, chargée de forces pleines d’imaginaire, reste dans l’histoire chinoise et collective comme la métaphore d’un effort démesuré. L’utilisation de cette métaphore continue d’ailleurs aujourd’hui, preuve de sa sédimentation dans l’imaginaire collectif.

That this metaphor continues to be used today is proof that it has become sedimented into our collective imagination.
