520			_aOnce mysterious and even mythical, the foetus has recently acquired a status of an object of research particularly in the new field of foetal psychiatry. This article provides a clinical and theoretical description of abuse to the unborn foetus, and a psychopathological approach illustrated by many clinical cases. The study leads us to consider the immediate and distant consequences of this specific form of abuse to the unborn foetus on the somatic and psychological development of the child and of course their implications for a policy of prevention and care.
