La production d’images ou d’une image forte a permis à ces patients de donner un sens à des pulsions ou des vécus pervers et d’accéder à d’autres modes d’être. Au-delà du processus d’œdipisation des névroses, la réflexion s’appuie sur la rencontre avec le « double » qui empêche l’accès à la paternité. Le rôle du thérapeute dans cette confrontation ne peut pas être neutre et lui-même doit affronter ses images et leur mise en mots.
