520 _aThe marks of physical or psychological violence are all the more heavy to bear that they are marked by the seal of silence, shame and humiliation. A silence quite difficult to break because violence seems to emerge from complex family operating modes, structured around at the same time intra-psychic, relational and intergenerational configurations. Among the situations of intra-family violence towards the children, the membership of a different culture puts the professionals in difficulties in their daily practices. The Author wishes in this text to pose the stakes of an intercultural clinical questioning which takes root in the problems that the foreigner and his child raise at the educational, looking after and legal institutions and to show the role and the contributions of the psychoanalytic family therapy (PFT) in these critical situations.
