520 _aAnalytical frameworks for understanding the diversity of farm organization beyond the family model has been produced. Over the past ten years, collective installations between members without family link—called collective farms—have multiplied but seems to suffer a lack of definition. From the constitution of a documentary corpus, characteristics of these farms are identified. Through the concept of emergence, we discuss their differences and similarities with other forms of farm organization.
