| 520 | _a« Inoculation » est une série de trois œuvres ayant pour lieu d’inspiration le marais de Beaussais-sur-Mer, en Bretagne. Au cours de son histoire, ce marais s’est vu refermé par une digue, cultivé, pâturé, jusqu’au printemps 2020 où cette même digue a cédé lors d’une tempête. S’est alors amorcée une nouvelle métamorphose de ce site critique, où se côtoient espace peu anthropisé, processus abiotiques et biotiques (incluant les activités humaines), risques et opportunités, car la mer redessine maintenant ses contours et ses « usages ». « Inoculation » est un récit cartographique de cette évolution, basé sur une collection de cartes de trois siècles distincts : les xviiie, xxe et xxie siècles. Les œuvres témoignent d’une succession de technologies (triangulation géodésique, imagerie aérienne, reconstruction 3D), de points de vue (depuis la terre, depuis le ciel), et de styles cartographiques. À trois, elles présentent la progression temporelle des liens entre la terre et la mer : une métaphore de la relation ambivalente entre l’humain et le littoral. | ||
| 520 | _a"Inoculation" is a series of three artworks inspired by the Beaussais-sur-Mer’s marsh, in Brittany. During its history, this marsh was closed by a dike, cultivated, grazed, until the spring of 2020 when this same dike broke during a storm. A new metamorphosis of this critical site then began, where little anthropized space, abiotic and biotic processes (including human activities), risks and opportunities coexist, as the sea is now redrawing its contours and "uses". "Inoculation" is a cartographic narrative of this evolution, based on a collection of maps from three distinct centuries: the 18th, 20th and 21st centuries. The artworks show a succession of technologies (geodetic triangulation, aerial imagery, 3D reconstruction), points of view (from the ground, from the sky), and cartographic styles. The three of them present the temporal progression of the links between the land and the sea: a metaphor of the ambivalent relationship between the human and coast. | ||
