Cet article étudie les stratégies des luthiers – entre artisanat d’art et fabrication industrielle, atelier familial et manufacture, luthier fabricant et luthier marchand, métier d’homme et féminisation de certaines tâches au sein des manufactures – stratégies qui n’empêcheront pas le déclin du métier de luthier après la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
