520 _aThis article intends to examine Aragon’s specific bestiary through two novels: Blanche or Oblivion and The Peasant of Paris. Thanks to a software in development, DeTEXTive, quantitative data could be presented, as far as the author’s abounding lexicon is concerned in this specific field, and also the main syntactic structures surrounding this terminology. The quantitative study leads to a statistical classification of the animal vocabulary, and to the writer’s favorite structures and strategies including it. On a second part, this research highlights qualitative data: the singularities of Aragon’s zoological garden – natural as well as fantastic – and points out various interesting aspects of his creativity and innovation.
