Firstly et most importantly, starting from generalizations already made in Chinese linguistics that are built solely on a corpus of everyday language, a different point of view is presented here basing on data collected in a public linguistic database and several registers of specialized languages such as legal, journalistic, and scientific discourse. This leads us to a conclusion that is applicable to all types of language use which is: aspectual markings on verbs are sometimes absent in everyday discourses and generally so in specialized languages. In doing so, this study underlines the importance of broadening the field of investigation in linguistics.Secondly, a hypothetical link between the objectivity required in specialized discourses and the subjectivity of the final particle le2 has been put forward, by assuming an influence of le2 on the AP le1.Finally, it is hoped that this study would allow professionals practicing in the fields of specialty, i.e.: legal and journalistic among others, to better understand the specificities of aspectual expressions in Mandarin Chinese.
