Cet article s’interroge sur la construction de l'image du dictateur au travers des caricatures de presse publiées en Europe (France et Angleterre notamment) et aux États-Unis. Il traite également certains clichés élaborés à partir de l'image du dictateur chilien pendant la période 1973-2006.
520			_aForty years after the chilean coup, the figure of Augusto Pinochet is part of the world’s pantheon of twentieth century dictators. This article examines the construction of the image of the dictator through the press cartoons published in Europe (noticeably in France and England) and the United States. The article also reviews graphic images built around the image of the Chilean dictator during the 1973-2006 period.
