Les projections changent avec le temps : au mythe de la Chine comme ultime puissance révolutionnaire grâce au maoïsme des années 1960 et 1970 a succédé le nouveau mythe de la Chine comme eldorado des entreprises étrangères, récemment ancré sur le rêve chinois de la Chine comme grande puissance innovante en 2049. Le premier but de cet article est de proposer un regard sur ces prospectives de long terme et de mettre en évidence les limites et blocages de divers ordres au regard desquels ces prédictions semblent relever souvent plus de la science-politique-fiction que du planning rationnel. Plus encore, le point fondamental de cet essai est de s’interroger sur les buts mêmes d’une telle innovation : une innovation au service du techno-autoritarisme est-elle un objectif scientifique acceptable ?
520			_aChina has often appeared in the eyes of Westerners through different hues and in different shapes – these images often triggered by Chinese discourses on China itself. Projections change over time: the myth of China as the ultimate revolutionary power due to Maoism in the 1960s and 1970s was succeeded by the new myth of China as an eldorado of foreign companies recently anchored on the Chinese dream of China as a great innovative powerhouse in 2049. The aim of this article is to offer a look at these long-term prospects and to highlight the limits and blockages of various orders in the light of which these predictions often seem closer to science-political-fictions than to rational planning. What is more, the fundamental point of this essay is to question the very goals of such an innovation: an innovation serving techno-authoritarianism is it still an acceptable scientific objective?
