520			_aL’Europe dite « médiane », incluant l’Europe centrale et orientale, baltique et balkanique, reste peu intégrée dans l’histoire mondiale et l’histoire connectée pour la période moderne en particulier. Les causes peuvent en être la difficulté à appréhender la continuité historique et la multiplicité des contextes d’un espace fragmenté en de multiples pouvoirs, où les frontières changèrent à plusieurs reprises. Sous l’angle d’une réflexion sur l’écriture de l’histoire, en prenant comme objet la mobilité spatiale, l’article propose un état des lieux historiographique et des perspectives de recherche.
520			_aEast-Central, Baltic and Balkan Europe is still not fully integrated into the new global and connected history, particularly for the early-modern period. Such a relative lack of inclusion may be explained by the historical and spatial fragmentation of this large area, the competition of powers, and the instability of borders, all of which make it difficult to comprehend both the continuity and the diversity of the contexts. After first presenting an historiographical overview of the current situation, this paper proposes to reassess the role of Central European mobility in early modern times.
