520			_aAprès avoir dressé un panorama des analyses de Density 21.5, cet article met en série plusieurs segmentations de l’œuvre dans l’optique de les confronter et d’explorer comment elles situent Density 21.5 dans l’histoire du langage musical. Nous verrons que les différents concepts de motifs qui sous-tendent les analyses ainsi que l’importance structurelle qui leur est accordée influencent la segmentation. Ces observations ouvrent la discussion sur l’indépendance des paramètres (mélodie, motifs, intervalles) qui transparaît à travers la comparaison des segmentations en deux ou trois grandes parties. L’indépendance mise au jour contribue à expliquer l’ambiguïté des phrasés et le sentiment de tension du début de la pièce, ce qui est mis en évidence par la comparaison des découpages à petite échelle.
520			_aAfter giving an overview of various analyses of Density 21.5, this article compares several segmentations in order to show how the links made between this work for solo flute and the history of musical language affect these segmentations. It will be seen that the different concepts of what makes a motive and the structural importance given to them are the first example of what affects the segmentation. The foregoing observations open the discussion on the independance between the musical parameters (melodic line, motive, intervals) in Density 21.5, which can be seen through the comparison of the segmentations into two or three large parts. In turn, this independance helps to explain the ambiguity and tension at the beginning of the piece, which is highlighted by the comparison of segmentations on a smaller scale.
