Cet article, qui repose sur une recherche sur les syndicats de prisonniers en France et aux États-Unis depuis les années 1970, décrit leurs trajectoires politiques variées, leurs stratégies et leur organisation. Les auteurs étudient ces syndicats au regard des mouvements de prisonniers, mais également des structures qui organisent la participation des prisonniers (comme les « comités de détenus »). Analysant les dilemmes tactiques auxquels les syndicats sont confrontés, les auteurs proposent donc de les définir comme « organisations improbables ». | ||
