520			_aEn 1999 à Seattle, la conférence ministérielle de l’Organisation mondiale du commerce a suscité d’importantes manifestations émaillées de violences. Vingt ans plus tard, il apparaît que les objectifs des manifestants n’ont pas été atteints. Le commerce international, en particulier, a connu un fort essor. Toutefois, la contestation et la colère ont pris de l’ampleur. Les populistes promouvant la démondialisation ont mieux su tirer profit du rejet de la globalisation que les altermondialistes.
