Après avoir montré ce qui a contribué à la délégitimation rapide du président Amadou Toumani Touré au début de l’année 2012, l’article examine les opportunités offertes par la crise à certains secteurs de la société, observe de quelle façon se déploient les mobilisations et le recours à la violence, et envisage les formes d’autocensure et de recours aux rumeurs. L’article suggère de ne pas considérer la multiplication des rumeurs et récits concurrents comme un seul obstacle à l’analyse, mais au contraire d’en faire un des matériaux de la compréhension des luttes de sens, des ralliements et des affrontements, tactiques aussi bien que moraux, qui se déploient à Bamako. | ||
| 520 | _aThe short term of legitimacy : positions, rumors and perceptions, January-September 2012 in BamakoBy focusing on the Malian capital, and in the short term, this article examines different aspects of the crisis that go beyond the rebellion in the North or the dereliction of Malian political institutions. After showing what contributed to the rapid delegitimation of president ATT at the beginning of 2012, we consider the opportunities opened by the crisis to different parts of society, we then observe how mobilizations and violence are used, and examine rumors and self-censorships. We suggest that rumors and competing narratives should not be considered as mere analytical impediments but, to the contrary, help us to seize what moral and tactical struggles, and rallying, are made of, therefore contributing to understand the rapid reconfigurations of legitimacy in Bamako. | ||
