Il convient de considérer ceux-ci comme le reflet des représentations générées par le lien spéculaire que les Européens entretiennent avec l’Autre. Le regard apporté sur les nouveaux arrivants procède d’un processus de monstration à travers une mise en spectacle d’images et de textes dont la mise en perspective socio-historique nous permet d’apprécier la récurrence dans le temps et l’espace.
