520			_aL’article développe une analyse transnationale destinée à évaluer les réactions de la communauté des politistes du sud de l’Europe à l’épidémie de COVID-19. Les politistes d’Europe du Sud (SEPS) peuvent être pénalisés par les politiques de relance post-COVID si leur communauté n’est pas capable (ou désireuse) de s’adapter aux changements et aux défis engendrés par la pandémie. Cet article utilise les données d’une enquête originale menée auprès de 1400 politistes européens à la fin de l’année 2020 pour étudier la résilience, la conscience du changement et l’adaptation professionnelle des politistes européens par rapport aux autres communautés de politistes basées dans les pays du nord, de l’ouest et du centre-est de l’Europe. D’une part, les données confirment la particularité des SEPS par rapport aux autres chercheurs européens (en particulier ceux basés dans les pays où la discipline est plus institutionnalisée). D’autre part, les résultats montrent un niveau élevé de variation entre les pays, soulignant les spécificités des perceptions et des réactions à la crise pandémique de chaque communauté nationale du sud de l’Europe.
520			_aThe paper develops a cross-country analysis intended to assess the reactions of the Southern European political science community to the COVID-19 outbreak. Southern European political scientists (SEPSs) can be penalized by post–COVID recovery policies in case their community is not able (or willing) to adapt to the changes and challenges driven by the pandemic. Thus, this article uses the data from an original survey conducted among 1400 European political scientists at the end of 2020 to address SEPSs’ resilience, awareness of change and professional adaptation compared to other political science communities based in Northern, Western and Central-Eastern countries. On the one hand, the evidence confirms the most similar comparative proposition, namely the peculiarity of SEPSs compared to the other European scholars (especially those based in countries wherein the discipline is more institutionalized). On the other hand, the findings show a high level of cross-country variation, highlighting the specificities in perceptions and reactions to the pandemic crisis of each national community in Southern Europe.
