520			_aRésuméCet article a pour objectif d’étudier les relations entre la psychanalyse et la psychothérapie analytique. Nous avons d’abord montré que la théorie de la technique a beaucoup évolué en qui concerne l’objectif (quoi), le mécanisme d’action (pourquoi) et les modalités de mise en place (comment) du processus analytique. Ensuite, nous nous sommes arrêté sur l’écart grandissant qui est en train de s’établir entre ces deux méthodes de traitement depuis qu’un certain nombre de principes de la théorie de la névrose et de sa thérapie ont été remis en question. Il s’agit d’un phénomène complexe, qui résulte moins de questions techniques, ou psychodynamiques, que de la position culturelle et éthique du thérapeute face au problème de la maladie mentale dans la société d’aujourd’hui.
520			_aThis paper is aimed to investigate further the relationships between psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. After discussing the «what», «why» and «how» of these treatment methods, we showed that present psychotherapy practice pays little attention to many well established principles of the classic theory of technique. This seems to result from changing cultural backgrounds and ethical values leading to decreasing emphasis on the neurosis issue rather than from new psychodynamics of contemporary mental illness.
