520			_aNous proposons une analyse des processus sociaux qui se mettent en œuvre dans le cadre d’une formation-métier à la lumière des questions de l’appropriation, la justification et l’estime sociale. Sont donc étudiés les actes de communication : les « dire » (discours et récits produits dans et par l’organisation) et les « faire » (les pratiques, les activités quotidiennes) que les individus au travail engagent dans l’action. Plusieurs processus sociaux émergent. L’idéalisation des tic dans les discours concourt à la légitimation institutionnelle de celles-ci, en même temps qu’à la valorisation des opérateurs et à l’appropriation des nouveaux dispositifs. En retour, l’usage quotidien des tic justifie leur présence dans l’atelier tout en améliorant l’estime de soi à laquelle aspirent les hauts fournistes. Entre enjeux stratégiques, attentes de valorisation et recherche d’estime sociale, les opérateurs ont su trouver un compromis : devenir hauts fournistes en s’auto-formant aux tic. Ainsi ont-ils doublement réussi leur formation qualifiante qui a été l’occasion d’acquérir des compétences liées à leur métier, mais aussi, pour les uns, de s’auto-former à l’usage d’un ordinateur et, pour d’autres, de s’auto-perfectionner à celui des tic.
520			_aThe Workshop, the Operator and the ict. From the Justification to the Figures of Compromise In this article, we propose an analysis of the social processes, implemented as a part of a job-training in the light of appropriation, justification and social esteem questions. Here are analyzed the acts of communication: the « say » (speech and narratives produced in and through the organization) and the « do » (practices, daily activities) that working individuals engage in the action. Several social processes are emerging in this framework. The idealization of the ict in the speech contributes to their institutional legitimacy, and, at the same time, to the operator’s valorization and the new devices appropriation. In return, the everyday use of ict justifies their presence in the working atelier while improving the self-esteem aspired by the operators on the blast furnace. Between strategic issues, expectations of appreciation and seeking out the social esteem, the operators succeeded to find a compromise: become a blast furnace operator by self-training in the ict. That way, they managed their successful training, which was an opportunity to develop skills related to their profession, for someone, a self-training in computer and for others to improve their knowledges to the ict sector.
