520			_aIn 2014, a diagnosis carried out upstream of the extension of the automobile circuit of Nevers/Magny-Cours (Nièvre) has made it possible to rediscover one of the most important hospital complexes of the First World War: the Mars-sur-Allier Hospital Center (1917–1919). Research operations (surveys, prospecting, university studies) on the various American sites in France have contributed to the rediscovery of a vast logistics network set up by the American Expeditionary Force in its contribution to the war effort against the Central Empires from 1917. Like any archaeological discovery of the contemporary period, the sites reveal very vast movable corpuses, all materials combined, which raises many questions as to their study, management and conservation.
520			_aEn 2014, un diagnostic mené en amont de l’extension du circuit automobile de Nevers/Magny-Cours (Nièvre) a permis de redécouvrir l’un des plus importants complexes hospitaliers du premier conflit mondial : le Mars-sur-Allier Hospital Center (1917-1919). Les opérations de recherche (sondages, prospections, études universitaires) sur les différents sites américains en France ont contribué à la redécouverte d’un vaste réseau logistique mis en place par l’American Expeditionary Force dans sa contribution à l’effort de guerre contre les Empires centraux à partir de 1917. Comme toute découverte archéologique de la période contemporaine, les sites révèlent de très vastes corpus mobiliers, tous matériaux confondus, ce qui soulève de nombreuses interrogations quant à leur étude, leur gestion et leur conservation.
