Il existe de multiples secours organisés pour les orphelins, depuis les pauvriseurs des paroisses jusqu’aux hôpitaux généraux, en passant par des maisons spécialisées ou des fondations. Néanmoins, ces établissements présentent un profil commun, marqué par une grande insistance sur la légitimité des enfants accueillis et surtout sur leur origine sociale qui est connue. | ||
