520			_aEntrepris dans le cadre plus général d’une étude sur les bronzes figurés antiques de Bretagne, le catalogue descriptif des pièces de ce type découvertes dans le département d’Ille-et-Vilaine s’avère plutôt décevant. Le nombre d’objets est peu élevé et ils appartiennent tous à l’époque romaine, à l’exception peut-être des figurines de taureaux de Châtillon-sur-Seiche, l’authenticité de cette dernière trouvaille n’étant d’ailleurs pas assurée. La divinité la mieux représentée est Mercure, accompagné de ses animaux familiers (coq, bouc), la statuette de La Bouexière montrant une divinité guerrière indéterminée. De l’ instrumentum on retiendra surtout une belle représentation d’un centaure, appartenant vraisemblablement à un lampadaire.
520			_aUndertaken within the more general scope of an inventory of Iron Age and Roman metal figurines found in Brittany, the descriptive catalogue of such artefacts discovered in Ille-et-Vilaine proves rather disappointing. Their number is small and they all belong to the Roman period, with the possible exception of the bull statuettes of Châtillon-sur-Seiche, though we cannot be certain this is a genuine local find. The most commonly shown deity is Mercury, with its accompanying animals (rooster, goat), La Bouexière’s figurine being that of an undetermined warrior god. The most interesting element of the instrumentum is a fine statuette of a centaur, probably belonging to a lampstand.
