520			_aRésuméL’éthique médicale connaît actuellement un tournant social et politique. Le défi est de promouvoir le rôle et la participation des individus fragilisés par la maladie ou le handicap. Le concept de vulnérabilité est posé en complément d’une analyse critique du principe d’autonomie. Il ouvre la bioéthique aux valeurs de solidarité et d’hospitalité. En retenant la prédication du Royaume de Dieu, cet essai examine aussi comment la théologie problématise et met en œuvre une bioéthique sociale et politique. À travers les principes de subsidiarité, de bien commun ou encore de participation, la perspective théologique dépasse la compréhension habituelle du concept d’autonomie. L’objectif est de mieux répondre aux besoins des plus vulnérables dans un monde où nos potentiels comme nos fragilités s’additionnent et se globalisent.
520			_aMedical ethics are at a political and social turning point today. The challenge is to promote a more active role for individuals who have been weakened through long illness or disability. The concept of vulnerability is considered as complementary to a critical analysis of the principle of autonomy. It opens bioethics to the values of solidarity and hospitality. This paper builds on the preaching of the Kingdom of God to examine how theology can formulate philosophically and implement bioethics at a social and political level. Through principles such as subsidiarity, common good or participation, the theological perspective goes well beyond usual understanding of autonomy. The objective is to better meet the needs of the most vulnerable in a world where both our weaknesses and our potentials add up and globalise.
