Le masochisme a valeur de barrage ultime dans l’organisation somato- psychique dans la mesure où sa visée est de lier l’autodestruction grâce aux investissements érotiques.L’attention portée aux variations de l’organisation masochique des patients, particulièrement des patients mal mentalisés, permet de soutenir tous les mouvements d’investissements masochiques secondaires, tant au niveau psychique qu’au niveau des symptômes du corps. À travers la masochisation du symptôme somatique, peut s’effectuer une hystérisation secondaire. Le masochisme n’est pas seulement un gardien de la vie, mais également une boussole dans l’appréciation des transformations psychiques.

520			_aResumenEl masoquismo es algo más que una disposición psíquica. Es estructural e intrínseco al psiquismo humano, y gravita tanto en la vertiente alucinatoria como en la vertiente traumática. El masoquismo constituye el último dique de contención en la organización somatosíquica en la medida en la que trata de vincular la autodestrucción gracias a las cargas eróticas.La atención acordada a las variaciones de la organización masoquista de los pacientes, en particular a la de los pacientes mal mentalizados, permite apoyar todos los movimientos de cargas masoquistas secundarias, tanto a nivel psíquico como a nivel de los síntomas del cuerpo. A través de la masoquización del síntoma somático puede realizarse una histerización secundaria. El masoquismo no es sólamente un custodio de la vida sino también una brujula para las apreciaciones de las transformaciones psíquicas.

Er ist struktural und der menschlichen Psyche inhärent, er ist sowohl in der halluzinatorischen Linie wie in der Traumatischen Linie am Werke. Der Masochismus hat den Wert eines letzten Bollwerks in der somato-psychischen Organisation, insofern er darauf abzielt, die Selbstzerstörung mit Hilfe der erotischen Besetzungen zu binden. Die Aufmerksamkeit, die den verschiedenen Variationen der masochistischen Organisation von Patienten, insbesondere von Patienten mit einer geringen mentalen Verarbeitung, geschenkt wird, ermöglicht es, alle sekundären masochistischen Besetzungsbewegungen zu unterstützen, und zwar sowohl auf der psychischen Ebene, als auch auf der Ebene von Körpersymptomen. Dadurch, dass das somatische Symptom masochistisch wird, kann sich eine sekundäre Hysterisierung vollziehen. Der Masochismus ist nicht nur ein Wächter des Lebens, sondern ebenfalls ein Meßinstrument bei der Einschätzung der psychischen Transformationen.
