520			_aRésuméIgnace Meyerson a renouvelé le champ de la psychologie par une réflexion méthodologique originale sur la nature de ses objets. En vue de rendre compte des progrès de la pensée, il propose de sortir du laboratoire et de procéder à une analyse des œuvres historiquement produites, en les considérant comme autant d’objectivations des fonctions de l’esprit. Afin de compléter la liste des facultés traditionnelles de la psychologie, il emprunte à la philosophie certaines de ses notions. Mais il nous semble que ces emprunts introduisent dans la « psychologie historique » une abstraction dommageable : non seulement, au cœur de l’étude des théories physiques – œuvres de l’esprit scientifique –, l’objectivité du réel n’est pas prise en considération ; surtout dans le processus général d’objectivation est négligée l’influence de la société : elle agit pourtant à nos yeux à la façon d’un véritable « esprit objectif ».
520			_aIgnace Meyerson has renewed the field of psychology thanks to an original methodological reflection on the nature of its objects. In order to account for the progress of thought, he proposes to leave the laboratory and carry out an analysis of the historically produced works, considering them as just objectivations of mental functions. So as to complete the list of the traditional capacities of mind, he borrows from philosophy some of its notions. But this borrowing actually introduces a prejudicial abstraction into the « historical psychology » : on the one hand, the objectivity of reality is not taken into consideration in the study of the theory of physics – works of the scientific mind –, on the other hand, and this is worse, in the general process of objectivation, the influence of society is disregarded : yet the latter plays the role of an « objective mind » in it.
