Dans un deuxième temps, l’article met en lumière la façon dont Simplicius détourne la critique aristotélicienne, en montrant que, malgré les apparences, le Stagirite accepte que les formes des réalités naturelles, à l’instar des réalités mathématiques, peuvent être pensées séparément, c’est-à-dire sans matière. La réflexion du néoplatonicien jette une nouvelle lumière sur la notion de methexis, au fond identique au phusikos logos ou « forme en soi », qui est semblable à la Forme intelligible. | ||

In a second step, the article sheds light on Simplicius' manner of deflecting the Aristotelian critique, in showing that despite appearances, the Stagirite acknowledges that the forms of natural realities, after the fashion of mathematical realities, can be thought of separately, that is to say, without matter.
