520			_aDe Marius Victorinus à la Nouvelle Vulgate, ces deux versets ont été dans l’exégèse latine le lieu d’interrogations sur la signification du terme grec ξένοι et sur le rapport des Juifs et des Non-Juifs avant et après le Christ. Ils ont permis d’approfondir le sens théologique de l’hospitalité. Ils ont aussi contribué à développer l’idée d’un dépassement de l’antique hospitalité en vue d’une fraternité universelle dans une cité ou une demeure commune. Il serait dommage d’oublier ou de négliger cet héritage biblique, en particulier dans la réflexion contemporaine sur l’unité européenne.
520			_aFrom Marius Victorinus to the New Vulgate, these two verses have been in Latin exegesis the locus of inquiry into the meaning of the Greek term ξένοι and into the relationship between Jews and non-Jews before and after Christ. They have made it possible to deepen the theological meaning of hospitality. They have also contributed to the developement of the idea of going beyond ancient hospitality with a view to a universal fraternity in a city or a common dwelling. It would be regrettable to forget or neglect this biblical heritage, especially in contemporary thinking on European unity.
