The present paper demonstrates that Greg is engrossed in the literary movements of his time, that he deconstructs both fictions and characters exposing and affirming the artificial nature of the genre. The playful approach taken by Greg unravels the fabric of the comicstrip shaking the conventions governing text and image, blurring, in his own wicked way, the line that divides the world of character from the world of his/her reader.
