520			_aLes notions de détachement et de corrélation, qui font débat pour le français moderne, suscitent davantage de questions encore lorsqu’il s’agit du français médiéval. Après avoir souligné les difficultés à manier la notion de détachement pour la langue ancienne, tant du point de vue formel que sémantique, cet article évoque les spécificités, pour la période envisagée, de la relation entre coordination et subordination. En relation avec les notions de coordination et de subordination, et dans une moindre mesure avec celle de détachement, sont ensuite abordées certaines structures corrélatives, dont la forte variation rend difficile l’interprétation du lien entre les deux segments. L’étude s’attache en particulier au rôle de jonction entre propositions qu’assurent certains éléments, et met en évidence l’évolution différenciée de ces structures, vers une intégration syntaxique et sémantique des constituants plus forte pour certaines, vers un relâchement des liens morpho-syntaxiques pour d’autres.

After pointing out the difficulties encountered in handling the notion of detachment for this period, both from a formal and a semantic point of view, this paper deals with the specificities of the relationship between coordination and subordination for the Medieval period. In relation with the notions of coordination and subordination, and of detachment to a lesser extent, we then turn to the analysis of certain correlative structures, in which strong variations make it difficult to interpret the link between their segments. The study focuses more specifically on how certain elements take up an interclausal linking function and highlights the differentiated evolution of these structures towards a stronger syntactic and semantic integration of the constituents in some cases, and towards a loosening of the morpho-syntactic links in others.
