Elle peut néanmoins se révéler à l’occasion l’enjeu de virulentes passions qui indiquent la place particulière qu’elle peut occuper dans la dynamique pulsionnelle de certains sujets. C’est parce que la voix se situe au cœur même des enjeux de la naissance du sujet psychique que l’on peut en comprendre l’importance et la spécificité au sein de la liste des objets pulsionnels. L’auteur de cet article s’attache à mettre en évidence, à partir de cette particularité, les coordonnées d’une mélo-manie, passion de la Chose vocale.

The voice is, however, wrapped up at times with burning passions, shedding light on the specific role it plays in the drive dynamics of certain individuals. The voice is rooted at the very heart of the circumstances conditioning the advent of the psychical subject, thereby endowing it, among other instinctual objects, with a particular importance and specificity. This article explores this as a means of analysing the precise coordinates of differing forms of melo-mania and overriding passions for the vocal Object.
