Ces échanges se font en opposition aux lois de la thermodynamique jusqu’à l’atteinte d’un stade critique : l’âge adulte. Le vieillissement correspond à la phase ontogénétique de gestion du stade critique, de l’âge adulte à la mort. Le vieillissement humain varie en fonction du temps, de l’espace, du sexe et à l’intérieur même de l’organisme. Il résulte de la mise en œuvre d’un schéma génétique grossier largement modulé par les contraintes de l’environnement lato sensu, c’est-à-dire la pression épigénétique. Par le biais des cascades de neurotransmetteurs et d’hormones mises en jeu, notre état psychique a un impact direct – négatif ou positif – sur le vieillissement.

Through flows of neurotransmitters and hormones, our psychic state has a direct impact – positive and negative- on the ageing.
