Consuming differently . . . without changing the institutions. A consumers’ cooperative in Lille

The cooperative, inspired by the Park Slope Food Coop model, which is based on the voluntary work of its socially diverse members and offers a wide range of products, which differentiates it from a traditional supermarket or an organic grocery store. The fieldwork highlights the tensions between the highly territorialized modes of regulation and the forms of bureaucratization and isomorphism observed in similar experiences.
