Sports have no intrinsic value: it is the educator that confers it its pedagogical value. This is why, if education through sports is an undeniable tool for youth insertion, rigorous supervision is necessary. To meet today’s social challenges, especially following the January 7th 2015 events [Charlie Hebdo killings], public insertion policies through sports should not only mobilise institutional actors but also trust the associations, experts and private partners whose job it is and whose knowledge of the field is renowned.
