The letter of 21 September, 1897. Discussion of Adela Abella’s report
Type de matériel :
48
The author explores the directions opened up by Abella’s report, along two lines: one concerns the genesis of each analyst’s theories, the other concerns the evolution and ways in which theories are transformed, as well as the way in which analysts communicate with each other. With regard to the genesis of each analyst’s theories, the question of attachment to the theories of analytic childhood will be addressed, leading on to questions about the links between exile, loss, mourning and the construction of a theory. With regard to the way in which analysts exchange ideas about their theories, the question of projective identification and inseparability as a model of implicit theory will be addressed.
