For over 20 years NATO has significantly evolved and is now on the verge of making new adjustments to face future challenges. Since its creation in 2003, the Allied Command Transformation has been responsible for the military evolution of the Atlantic Alliance (ATC). ACT has identified four key points of progress until 2030, based on world evolutionary scenarios. The first draws attention to the appropriate responses to hybrid threats characterized by the progressive disappearance of traditional classifications. In addition, ACT has pin pointed the protection of flows of people, goods and information as a strategic factor that our societies have become increasingly dependent on. Thirdly, ACT advocates establishing a systematic global approach that emphasizes civilian integration and contribution. Finally, developing partnerships beyond NATO frontiers remains an important strategic priority.
