This study aims to analyze the extent of addiction in Tunisian schools in socio-economically different regions. Teachers were asked about their actual practices, their training, and their responsibilities with regard to the prevention of addiction. The prevalence of smoking among boys from urban areas is higher than that among boys from rural areas, as is the case for girls. Most of the teachers interviewed have no training in health education and take a strong interest in the transmission of information with a persuasive approach based on fear.
