Whereas the professionals of public relations consider that university research is speculative, many researchers are disturbed in front of the managerial use of the communication. A historical approach allows to observe the relational construction of the two groups of actors, in a specific relationship with social sciences. A reconciliation between the two groups would involve a recombining of their intergroupal global relations.
