Cet article a pour objectif de rappeler l’apport de ces deux pionnières au travail social collectif. Confrontées aux importants problèmes sociaux de leur époque, elles ont créé un travail social ouvert et communautaire ; elles ont activement contribué aux projets de réforme sociale, à une redéfinition des enjeux sociaux et de leurs solutions ; elles ont été les principales protagonistes du mouvement des femmes dans leur pays, et ont eu un rôle international très important et reconnu. Two pioneers of the collective and political dimension of social work: Jane Addams and Alice SalomonThis article reminds us of the role of two pioneers of community social work. Faced with the major social problems of their time, they created a form of social community work open to a wide public, made an active contribution to social reform and redefined the terms of the social question. They were among the principal protagonists of the feminist movement in their countries and played an important role on the international scene.
