520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Many breastfeeding mothers have experienced the analgesic effect of breast feeding on their babies. Since 2002, several studies have corroborated these empirical findings. Even if we don’t know exactly how it works, it is clear that breast feeding strongly reduces (or even suppresses) pain during procedures such as injections, taking blood samples, etc. Health professionals should therefore stop refusing to do these procedures on the breastfeeding infant, and should propose it to breastfeeding mothers. |
