| Summary, etc. | La sociologie est une science à double niveau, qui articule théorie et matériaux empiriques. En tant que telle, elle a autant besoin de théorie pour construire les données sur lesquelles elle travaille que de données pour borner sa réflexion théorique. Elle est aussi une science nécessairement critique qui rompt avec le sens commun et détruit les illusions sur le monde social. Mais le défi qu’elle doit relever concerne sa capacité actuelle à produire des théories générales malgré les contraintes empiriques, la concurrence entre théories régionales et la division sociale du travail scientifique. Une formule théorique synthétique dans le champ des théories de l’action est présentée en conclusion. |
