| Summary, etc. | Dans le cadre d’une recherche appliquée en design sonore, un objet industriel naissant – ou renaissant – apparaît comme un cas d’étude particulièrement emblématique et un terrain d’expérimentation inédit : le véhicule électrique. En effet, en tant qu’objet silencieux et mobile – et malgré quelques avis divergents qu’oppose une législation en cours –, cet artefact pose des problématiques propres à une expérience-utilisateur spécifique : danger potentiel pour les sujets vulnérables (piétons, cyclistes), dégradation de l’ergonomie de conduite ou modification du paysage sonore, notamment urbain. En cela, il questionne certains enjeux majeurs du design sonore – hérités du cadre plus général du design : pertinence (un son contrôlé pour un objet naturellement silencieux), innovation (un son contrôlé pour un objet radicalement nouveau), intégration (un son contrôlé pour un environnement nécessairement maitrisé). |

| Summary, etc. | As part of an applied research in the field of sound design, a recently born – or reborn – industrial object appears to be a particularly emblematic use case and unprecedented field of experimentation : the electric vehicle. In fact, as a moving silent object – and despite some diverging opinions in contradiction with an ongoing lawmaking –, this artefact represents issues related to a specific user-experience : potential danger for vulnerable subjects (pedestrians, cyclists), alteration of the ergonomics of driving or soundscape modification, especially in a urban context. In that, it adresses some major stakes of sound design – inherited from the broader design frame : relevance (a controlled sound for a given quiet object), innovation (a controlled sound for a fairly new object), integration (a controlled sound for a necessarily controlled environment). |
