520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | So as to study relationship between printed and digital books, I have taken interest in augmented books, using both pop-up and projection, and I have extended this exam, more generally, to hybrid editorial objects between artist book, performance, and animation. I have tried to divide them in different categories according to their way to refer to books. The various experiments led in the wide field of the digital book question : Can the printed books cease to be its models ? How do several objects refer to books, that are not only designed to be readable, but also watched and listened ? Which new fields of experience, between digital and tangible, do they prefigure ?This study which successively distinguishes « homothetic » books, « hybrid » editions, « theatrical books », « enchanted books », « animist books » and paper-screen interfaces, is crossed by the question of design experience. It proposes several definitions and shows how it moves away today from the user-centered design, to create an emotional relationship. Designing an experience is thinking a story of which humans are the tellers. It is also through experience moving towards a humanist design. |
