Summary, etc. |

Summary, etc. | Within contemporary Portuguese literature, Maria Gabriela Llansol’s works draw a map hostile to all generic charting and categories of orthodox representations. Her work originating from an act of rupture and visited by a great number of mystics (Eckhart, Saint John of the Cross, Al Hallâj) produces many ‘cenas fulgor’ which convey a sense of temporal discontinuity, manifest a taste for fragmentation and express the nomadic experience of ‘un-quietness’, so familiar to Pessoa. Through deterritorialisation, the enuciative agency wavers between intimacy and ex-timacy, fascination and loss to create an epiphany akin to ecstasy. |
