520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The main purpose of psychoanalytic training is to promote the capacities of thinking and feeling of the future therapists. In fact, therapeutic work requires a deep self psychoanalytic questioning, as much in groupal situations as in individual sessions. It has the merit of revealing some unconscious process, still unknown of the therapist in spite of a previous analysis. As to the family therapist, some specific means have to be created to put in light unconscious transgenerational influences and determining familial ties. From an ethical point of view, training institutes and trainers must be careful of not impressing their own theories and beliefs on therapists in training. |
