Summary, etc. | L’étude postcoloniale de la Responsabilité Sociale des Entreprises (RSE) a été introduite en 2000 par l’article de Bobby Banerjee “Whose land is it anyway ? […]”. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The postcolonial study of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was introduced in 2000 by Bobby Banerjee’s article “Whose land is it anyway ? […]”. Since then, postcolonial and decolonial perspectives have been mobilized in numerous ways by CSR scholars, and more broadly by Business & Society scholars, leading to multiple insights. This paper, which also serves as an introduction to the special issue “Decolonizing CSR” of the Revue de l’Organisation Responsable, reviews these insights and critically assesses the potentialities offered by the postcolonial and decolonial perspectives of CSR. This review identifies seven categories that outline the postcolonial and decolonial landscape of CSR, and highlights six points of vigilance. Ultimately, the authors’ aim is to provoke a “decolonial turn” in CSR by unleashing the transformative power of postcolonial and decolonial perspectives to generate disruptive knowledge and new teaching practices. |
